Looking for a Massage in Hackney? Welcome to REST.

When people search for a massage in Hackney, they’re usually looking for one of two things.
They either have pain they want to get rid of. Or they’re exhausted. Sometimes both.

At REST., I work with women who often carry a lot—physically, mentally and emotionally. Many arrive with tight shoulders, aching backs, sore hips or persistent neck tension. Others simply feel overwhelmed, disconnected from their bodies or unable to switch off.

Massage can help with those things. But I also believe it can offer something that’s becoming increasingly rare: A place where you don’t have to do anything. A place where someone is taking care of you. A place where your body finally has permission to rest.

A Different Kind of Massage

There are many excellent massage therapists in Hackney. Some specialise in sports recovery. Others focus on very deep pressure or injury rehabilitation. My work is different. Every session begins with a conversation about how you’re feeling that day. Some women need slow, grounding touch. Others need focused work on long-held muscular tension. Most need a combination of both. Rather than following exactly the same routine every time, I adapt each treatment to what your body needs in that moment.

Does Massage Have to Hurt?

Many people believe that deeper pressure always produces better results. Sometimes that’s true. But pain isn’t the only path to releasing tension. The body often lets go more easily when it feels safe. That’s why even when I’m working deeply, I avoid using force for the sake of force. I prefer working slowly, listening to the tissue and allowing the body time to respond.
Many clients tell me they’re surprised by how effective a treatment can be without feeling like they have to “survive” it.

What Can Massage Help With?

Clients visit REST. for many different reasons, including:

  • Neck and shoulder tension

  • Back pain

  • Stress and overwhelm

  • Headaches related to muscular tension

  • Poor sleep

  • Pregnancy and postnatal recovery

  • Feeling disconnected from their body

  • Wanting time to slow down

Massage isn’t a cure for every problem. But creating regular moments where your nervous system can genuinely relax often has a ripple effect that extends well beyond the treatment itself.

A Calm Space in London Fields

REST. is based in London Fields, in the heart of Hackney.

The treatment room is intentionally quiet, warm and welcoming.
Soft lighting.
Heated blankets.
Carefully chosen music.
A slower pace.
Everything is designed to help you feel comfortable enough to let go.
For many women, that’s just as important as the massage itself.

Massage for Women

REST. is a women-only practice.
Creating a space exclusively for women allows many clients to arrive feeling more comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.
Some come because they’re navigating pregnancy or motherhood.
Some because work has left them burnt out.
Some because life simply feels heavy.
Whatever brings you here, you’ll be met with care rather than judgement.

Your First Visit

If it’s your first appointment, we’ll begin by talking about how you’re feeling and what you’d like from the session.
You’re always welcome to tell me if you prefer more or less pressure, if you need extra warmth, quieter music or simply more silence. This is your time. There is no expectation to talk unless you want to. Many clients spend much of the treatment simply breathing, resting or even falling asleep.

Why Women Choose REST.

Women often tell me they leave feeling:

  • Physically lighter.

  • Mentally quieter.

  • Emotionally calmer.

  • More connected to themselves.

  • Able to breathe more deeply.

  • Genuinely rested.

Sometimes they arrive hoping to fix their shoulders. They leave realising they needed rest just as much.
